In the framework of the “Open Doors” activities at the National Center for Marine Sciences, the center organized a seminar on May 14, 2015 for sixty students from the Lebanese University, faculty of Geography. Then on May 22, the Center received about 40 Master students on Biodiversity and Marine Sciences from the Faculty of Sciences (Lebanese University); During both days a lecture was dedicated to explain the objectives of the project M3-HABs and its implementation along the Lebanese coast, the ecological and the health effects of the Dinoflagellate Ostreopsis SPP, the main results and the differences between species in Eastern and Western Mediterranean. After that, the students participated to a field work and sampling near the center.
